"Surprise" bantam chicks from TSC Wellie, OEG or Dutch?

Hi Everyone,

Somehow, a broody hen + a trip to TSC got us 7 bantam chicks for $1 apiece today.  idunno.gifI'm wondering if anyone can confirm what we've guessed for their breeds.  To us, the group looks like 3 golden Sebrights and 4 Welsummers/OEG or Dutch. It's the chipmunks we can't figure out.  All have 4 toes, no green legs so they aren't silkies or EE.  Is it possible to identify at this age?  Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Here's the whole group:

banties day 1

Here is one of what we think are Golden Sebrights

banty type 1

Here is what we think may be a Welsummer

banty type 2

I think your'e right about the four- I think they're Welsummer chicks. They're all adorable!love.gif

I am crazy about a lot of things. Chickens, reading, writing stories, and most importantly my King, Jesus. :D

I would doubt they are bantam Wellies.  More likely they are Dutch or OEG.

Those were other possibilities we've considered, and I agree that dutch or OEG are more likely.  Do you know of a way to note any differences?

OEG or Dutch on the chipmunk they look close to mine but are darker and have dark marking around the eye. You are right about the Golden Sebright, i have some also they love to dig the shavings everywhere!

Thanks, rosechickens.  It's not crucial for us to know exactly what they are, but we are curious.  We put them all under a broody BO last might and everyone is getting along very well.

I'll try to do so.  Crazy times ahead with the end of the semester approaching so if you don't see any posts and would like some, feel free to let me know that I've forgotten!
