Dutch Hen House almost complete!

Thanks everyone! They are doing really well. Loving the space. I have four chicks, 2 buff orpingtons, 1 barred rock, and 1 autralorp. I know things will get a bit tight for them as they get older. We are planning on adding a little run off the side for them to play in. I hope to let them out everyday when the weather is good for some exercise. They love the bug hunting adventures they get to go on so far. It took them until last night to figure out getting into the roosting area for warmth and sleep. I'm glad too because I was tired of crawling in there with them to catch them and send them to bed. :) We won't be adding any chickies to our collection since we're pushing limits in our neighborhood as it is...but one day...one sweet day...this might be our baby chick coop and our big girl chick coop will be HUGE!! :D

Is there adequate space for them to get under the closed off coop section to increase their run space?

I am in the works of building the same coop, but have modified it to make it a full 4'x8' and increased the enclosed coop size to 4'x4'. I wanted to give them extra indoor room since I am in such a cold climate.

I plan on having 3 hens.

Any thoughts on that or anything else you would do different if you could build it again?
