hello all

I have been reading Joel Salatin and he has inspired me to get some chickens.  I'll be picking up my chicks (about a month old) next Friday and need to get somewhere for them to live built and figure this all out.  Thankfully I have a neighbour that will help me get it built.

I grew up on a farm, but that is all faded in memory.. hopefully with your help I can resurrect my past knowledge and not mess things up too much.

Looking forward to learning lots

thank you all for the warm welcome.   I have decided which coop to build and now need to get the stuff required.  :)

I'm very excited about this new endeavour and look forward to learning from you all.

I am getting 3 light sussex hens and I think they will give me great pleasure and some eggs too.  :)
