Is this little one a pullet or a cockerel???  We aren't able to keep a Rooster, and I am scared of getting too attached.  There are teeny little tail feathers coming through, but as "she" is only a week (give or take a day or two) old is it too soon to tell??  "Her" other week old girlfriends have little tails already.  Any input would be great.  Thanks

SAHM with two great boys, and the best husband ever.

1 Rhode Island Red, 2 Easter Eggers, 1 Leghorn, 1 Silver Spangled Hamburg, 1 Light Brahma, 1 polish, 1 buff Orpington and 2 Wyandottes (1 GL, 1BLR) And 1 barnyard special that seems to be brahmaish (the one and only egg that hatched in our science experiment)

dreaming of a bigger place and more girls......

Okay..... Thank you. I know with some breeds you can tell right away. Was hoping this was one of those.

is this a bantam? I think it looks like a golden laced sebright. if the comb starts to get red its pry a rooster.
