question about featherlegged chicks!

If a chick has feathered legs does it have to have come from parents that both have feathered legs or can they inherit it from just one parent?

And if so...does it matter which parent had the feathered leg gene, male or female, AND does it have anything to do with the sex of the chick (sex-linked?)

Thank you for any ideas or experience on this!

there are 4 types of feathering genes, 3 of them are dominant only one recessive none of them are sex linked so any parent can give that trait to all of the chicks(males or females)

here read more on the subject(Scroll down to the middle)
