My Chicken is Nesting on the Roof!

One of my game hens has been missing for a couple of days, and I thought something had gotten her since she will not go in the coop at night.  I was out doing the evening chores today, and it started raining eggs.  That silly girl had built her nest on the roof using the Spanish moss that had fallen from the trees around the house.  Obviously it had not worked out well, but she is still sitting on her precariously balanced nest on the edge of the roof.

Wow!  I once had a chicken that would go 12 feet in a tree and sit there.  I don't think she ever made a nest though.  she would get up on the garbage can, then the coop, the the tree!

my chickens had once tried to jump over the fence into my neighbor yard. I was so scared, as those neighbors had complained about our chickens.

This hen is a great flyer, but she has never left the yard.  She spends a lot of time on the roof during the spring.  Great bug hunting.
