Runt chick not growing

Thread Starter

My cochin chicks are 23 days old today.

I have 12 of them, they all hatched on the same day from mostly the same parents.

One of them I was afraid was going to die, but pulled through. However, he is still half the size of his brothers and sisters and has NO FEATHERS yet!!

The others are growing their combs and wattles and tail feathers and leg feathers and are started to "fly", but not my poor Hercules :(

I named him Hercules cause he's so tiny.. lol but I think he may be a girl.

Is there something I can do to help him? I'm afraid the others are going to start picking on him. He's always the first in line for treats, food or water. He loves cuddles and being held.

My chicken coop is now inhabited by chickens!

RIP June the chicken 4/23/13
