Sorry I'm gonna go against the grain and say they look like mallards to me. Rouens have 2 solid lines yours do not. Here is  pics of my most recent mallards, if you notice they are one line with a smudge on the bottom just like yours.  Also the parents you show pics of look mallard to me, Rouens are much larger and have much larger chests.

I'm going to change my vote to Mallard now that I have Apyl to back me up.  It's just the hens in the parent stock look bigger to me in comparison to the drakes.  But that could be the perspective too.

They look like "Mallards" to me.

Mallard ducks are very small. They are bantams.  They lay very few eggs and are seasonal layers.  That means they are not suited to being sold and shipped by the hatcheries.

So, whatever the hatcheries are selling as "Mallards" are not mallards.  They are just generic gray colored ducks. But those look like "Mallards" to me.

The same as hatchery "Rouens". They are not Rouens. They are just larger size generic gray colored ducks.

Can your ducks fly? If they can, they are mallards, as Rouens can only jump/fly about a yard high, nothing more.

Oh, oops! I must have pressed something because I just submitted the above to the wrong thread! lol
