Today was wonderful MineCraft day. I mined a patch of 3 diamonds this morning, and a patch of 5 diamonds about 2 hours ago. 
I also mined a giant patch of gold this morning.

I haven't played Minecraft since Christmas..Yeah, today was the best mining day I've had in weeks!

i play minecraft but it gets laggy :-/ ...but i haven't tried it without browser open

Have you gone into the settings and turned your render distance down? That helps even potato computers a lot.
