Silkie with 4 toes

Hi all,

I just picked up 4 silkie chicks from TSC (they are cream colored, so I guess they are white silkies?) and one of them has 4 toes.  Furry feet, etc., but 4 toes.  Thoug it looks like he may have one tiny tiny vestigial toe on one foot.

Does this happen a lot?  Is it indicative of any other problems?

We had one that we picked up from TSC that only had nine toes.  It was a white one as well.  Ours are six or seven weeks, approximately, and are all doing fine.  I don't think that a missing toe is too much of a problem unless you ever wanted to show them.

We live on a beautiful homestead in Kansas.  We have lots of bantams and standards (many breeds including: EEs, BOs, Speckled Sussexes, Delawares, Silkies, d'Uccles, Cochins, A few home hatched mixes, OEG bantams, and a couple undetermined).  We also have five goats (mixed origin), one dexter heifer, two pigs, and nine ducks.  Life couldn't be much better.

Nope, these are just backyard pets/egg layers/child amusers.  I don't really care how many toes they have as long as they are healthy.
