New duck owners! Wooohooo! - Page 3

AWWWW, so so cute. A bit envious of anyone with ducklings.  DH and I had a discussion just a few minutes ago and he has put me on notice that 8 ducks is ENOUGH.  LOL

BTW, I love your avatar.  I have a greyhound too.  They are incredible.

I REALLY like your set up. I showed it to my husband and he liked it too. The only thing is... I don't have electric out where we're going to have the coop/run so I don't know how we would even do a  pond like that with a pump at all. The other issue is that I want to use the water in the garden.

As far as the speckled feet... Phineas actually has white patches on the webbing of his(her?) feet. Ferb likes to peck at them when we put them in the tub for a swim.

Thank you! That's my lil Dusty girl! We have another too, he's a big red brindle lazy baby. There is on other family that has greys here, and they have 3. That makes a total of 5 in the entire area. Lol I've been accused of starving my great danes before at PetSmart. lol.png

My lil ducks are rather amazing really. I just still can't believe how quick they are growing! Seems lie yesterday they were these tiny lil peeping things in a box, and now they're about 2 1/2 times that size! In less than 2 weeks! I love 'em tho... but don't tell my husband I said that! lol.png

We didn't have electricity either.. Had to string a 100ft extension cord from the outlet off our back porch :)

I told hubby we could do that and he said "Are you CRAZY?! No way!!" We let our dogs out there and if they got to running, they could catch that cord and break their leg. Our son is one of the most absent minded kids I've ever met, and he mows the lawn, I could just see him not paying attention and running it over with the lawn mower! It would just be more of a worry for me... I do that... worry! wink.png
