Hello from PA!

Thread Starter

This is my first post on BYC and I am excited to start posting on here!!! Right now I own one Black Jersey Giant rooster and hen, two standard Buff Chanteclers, ( That I am trying to get rid of ) two RIR hens, two Barred Holland hens, amd two silkie hens. I have been interested in chickens for 7 years. I am currently in poultry 4-H and have showed one year at fair!!! I am so excited to show again this year. I baby my chickens and give them a light when it gets cold outside which would make some people think that I go over board for my chickens but ever since my sister for a school project hatched a few chickens they have been a hobby. I have went through a lot of mixed chickens and used to just breed and hatch for fun but now that I am getting into showing I am beginning to care more about their looks acording to the Standard of Perfection   wink.png . Oh I almost forgot I also have three silver laced Wyndottes upstairs in my bedroom and my avatar is one of them. They were younger when I took that picture.

Besides chickens I have many hobbies including drawing, horseback riding, reading, painting, have a variety of other pets including two cats, a dog, a bunny, a fish, one Shetland pony, and one pet Parrakeet!

Thank You for reading my post!

                Sincerely,

                     Peppy Peep

I'm a JG peep also! Welcome to BYC! I've been showing JG's in 4H for 7 years now. I'd be happy to give some pointers if you need them! frow.gif

It's the shape that makes the breed, and the color that makes the variety.

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?
