You all have helped me so much on ideas for creating my coop, and learning all about chicken raising. I only wanted 4 or 5 for pets and of course fresh eggs. I finished our coop and run this past weekend. He started with 2 Silkies about 2 months old. There a hoot to watch. So far they seem happy as can be to be in there new home.

Thanks to all of you for the great ideals and advise.

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?
