  I have a Buckeye rooster right now, and he's a perfect gentleman.  He's the best rooster I ever had.  They're not easy to come by though.  Another breed I would recommend is the Buff Orpington.  They're a gentle breed.  If you weren't too far, I'd be happy to give you a rooster.  Right now, I have some very young cockerels--they're still chicks really.  They are Silver Penciled Rocks, and they should turn out to be very pretty.  I think they're a month old now.  I may have a Buckeye cockerel that I could also spare.  Not sure of the sex of my Buckeye chicks yet.

 

I'll have to post a pic.  The Buckeye Breed has such shiny feathers....a beautiful mahogany color.
