I was perusing all the clever, cute, chicken coops n tractors lookn for one with enuf rm to modify for 12- 14 net boxes, I was going to use the cute,"Cluckingham Palace" design and attch another 6 nestboxes on the other eaves side, however, its 6 wks later and I havent yet had time to start as I have horses, dogs, etc to care for after workn 50-60 hrs a wk...is there an easier design anyone noticed that I can insulate later??                                                                                                                                              I  am located in Maine,we do get below zero temps here...I have Buff Orps ...free range, whom my Rottys guard from Foxes and Coyotes!

I just picked up a travel trailer for free off of CL. Mine is small, for 10-12 birds. Big ones are pretty easy to come by cheap. It took me an afternoon to strip out the insides. I don't think it looks trashy either sitting in my yard either. Just an idea.

This is about 13 ft. long x 7 1/2 ft. wide on the inside. Has some cosmetic damage, but nothing too bad that can't be fixed.

My husband put a coat of sealer on the roof since it leaked a little. At the bottom right a little access door is missing (covered with a black floor mat). No problem since I'll put the pop door here. On the bottom left is another access door. I'll put the nest boxes there so that I can collect them from the outside. You can see that there are plenty of windows so no matter which direction the wind is blowing I can adjust it. I gutted out everything but one long cabinet for food storage, all overhead storage space, and the wall for the toilet. Thought that the little space will be useful when introducing a new bird to the coop.

What a great idea!  I'd love to see the inside of it when you are done.
