Chicken newbie but quickly falling in love

Hi there!  We have 3 human chicks of our own (10 and under) and we just recently acquired 6 leghorn chicks.  This is something I've wanted to do for a long time but wanted to wait until the kids were a little older - for the sake of time and also to have some help with caring for our chicky friends.  I've been absorbing gobs and gobs of information from this site over the past week or so and am so appreciative to have this website as a resource.  Thanks to all of you who share your knowledge!
