Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?

Hello and welcome from Arlington VA, where local ordinances prevent almost everyone from owning chickens due to lot size also. I'm involved with a group called The Arlington Egg Project that is working to have the county ordinances modified to allow a limited number of hens (no roosters). You might get some ideas from their website: http://www.arlingtoneggproject.com

Be sure to visit, and post your question on the Local Chicken Laws & Ordinances (and how to change them) forum:

Good luck!

Welcome to BYC. You might also want to contact your city councilman or county commisssioner and bug the heck out of them to get the ordinance/law changed via planning and zoning officials.

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan big_smile.png

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?
