Just saying hi!

Thread Starter

Hi!  New here, but not super new to chickens.  We've had some for about 3 years now.  Unfortunately the first 6 have all passed away already (2 by a neighbors dog, 1 raccoon, and I have no idea how the other 3 died...they just died :( ).  They were Golden Comets and we loved them!  We now have 3 1-year old Spotted Sussex and 5 new pullets, 1 Amber Link (4 weeks), and the other 4 are a "barn yard mix" (3 are 6 weeks and the other is 10 weeks) and just kind of neat looking.  I'm a little worried that 1 or 2 of the pullets might not be pullets though....I would love some of the expertise around here to help me figure that out!  My hubby has said absolutely NO roosters and will make my find new home for any males (that new home can not be my freezer!...these are pets!).

So again, just saying hi from New Hampshire!frow.gif

Welcome to BYC. You can place the roosters on Craigslist, bulletin board at your feed store if they have one, or adopt them out.

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?
