Some type of bacteria. Vet did a culture. Takes 3-5 days. In mean time soaking feet in a rinse. Thanks for all your help!!!!

Heres another question, can you give ducks untreated well water to drink & swim in???

We have untreated well water.  It is tested every year or three, since it is our drinking water, and yes, that is what the ducks get, too.

 

 

 

--- just read the vet's information.  So, perhaps a large bacteria load, or some ugly bacteria in the water?  Is the rinse with antibiotics?  Are they getting oral antibiotics?  This is so very strange and sad, I hope it gets resolved right away.

We also have untreated well water, i'd say alot safer than city water with all the chemicals they put in it.

Yup untreated well water here also, never had a problem, it is tested every year :)

That's good to have a verdict from the vet. I hope that you can halt the problem in its tracks now.
