seem like a good breed, if i had the room i would probably raise a batch of them they seem like they would be a good 4h starter show bird...considering i dont see many of this breed in my class...

Thank you all for the warm welcome

I'm glad to say that our very first hatching went extremely well and we now have 19 healthy and very happy hyper chicks . We did have one that made it out but passed away sadly and another that unfortunately had a crossed beak that was so bad that it couldn't even open its mouth... I didn't know that could even happen and i have to say that having to cull a chick from our first batch was one of the most terrible things i've ever had to do; but, there was no way i could even feed it with a medicine dropper and i couldn't bring myself to just let him starve to death. Rest in peace little chick you were so cute and loved though your time here was very short.
