Hello From Mid-Missouir!

HELLO EVERYONE!

Thought I'd jump in here and say Hello.

I've been lurking for a lil bit and went ahead and made an account.

The site looks great and the comraderie seems over the top, very nice.

 

Most my birds are at about 9-12 weeks in age, thou some are a lil younger due to heavy losses in shipping and were therefore replaced.

I mostly have heratage dual purpose breeds, thou I seem to be leaning tward getting some silkies and other exotic breeds.

 

I have also started making an incubator out of an old refrigerator and am currently getting the temp dialed in and am in need of some more monitoring equipment ie more thermometers and hydormeters. I am open for input on said devices such as the best ones to buy for the buck and where at.

I'm using two light bulbs and a drilled water heater thermometer. I am kind of lost on the size of fan I should use? Currently I have a lil 7 inch desktop fan in there since my power supply running a bank of 3 computer fans gave out, due to a lack of mili-amps or the heat.

I am crazy about a lot of things. Chickens, reading, writing stories, and most importantly my King, Jesus. :D
