My buffs are family. They get along with our cats our neighbors cats and the chickens next door. My dh loves them. They learned my truck the first day they saw me drive away and ran out to me when...
These are my first chickens, gifts from a daughter for Christmas. Once they started laying, it's rare to have a day without one egg from each hen. They come when I call them, stay close to the...
I have six Japanese Bantams. Five hens and one rooster. Grace, Zoey, Lemon, DeLacey, and DeLaney are the hens, and George Tucker is my rooster. They make up about 1/5 of my chickens. I have all...
I just LOVE my sicilian buttercup, Poppy. Anytime I go outside she loves to hop up onto my back or my arm. She's very curious and loves to he held or played with. I've also noticed that she loves...
Happy Owner of 6 modern day T-Rex's, and 2 Russian Tortoises! There are more chickens on earth than humans & Alektorophobia is the fear of chickens. Random Fact-- One penny doubled everyday would be over 5 million in 30 days.

Man, if you're right, that means at LEAST 3 roosters out of 7 chicks. Not really what I was hoping for. :-) But it is what it is! Maybe I will just go back to the feed store and try for some more when these guys get out to the coop in a few weeks?? Wonder if I can talk my fiance into it. :-)
I think the fat one is male, if they are 4 weeks. There is pink and growth in the wattles.
~Meg~ The remaining 6 of my original 7 barred rocks are 3yrs old and happily divided between a friend and my mom. Laying: 2 Partridge Rocks, 1 Columbian Wyandotte and 2 Black Australorps. 14 weeks: 3 bantam Araucana. Cowed to chicken math and sharing my bedroom with 8 BBS Ameraucana mixes.

It's hard to say on #3. I wouldn't bet my money on that being a male, but other pictures (from the side & top) would help.

Don't know if these help any. I am pretty sure this top one is the same as 3, not sure about the second picture. I'm sorry, not very good at telling them apart!
The wattles look really big to me. All my cockerels have really big wattles and combs. And Rhode Island Red Roosters have big combs.....by the way, cute guinea in the background of pic # 1!
