Hello all,
I was wondering if it is ok to raise different breeds together? I'm not too sure if chickens are like beta fishes.
It's perfectly fine! I have 4 different breeds in one coop and they're fine together.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. - Hebrews 4:12

It only becomes an issue if you plan on breeding for pure breds. If so leg band the different breeds and keep great notes. Other than that the chickens don't care what breeds their pen mates are. They are all just birds to them.
