As of the 1st of April, I became a backyard chicken keeper. Given the date, most of my friends/co-workers thought it was my idea of an April Fool's joke when I gushed about the new pullets I had just purchased at the local Tractor Supply Store.

Other than gathering eggs as a child on my Great Aunt's property many, many years ago, I basically have no chicken experience. We're almost two weeks into the grand chicken adventure and I'm looking to learn all I can to keep my flock happy and healthy.
