Hello from Central PA!

Hello BYC!  I'm Laura - I'm a photographer in central PA.  My husband decided that for my birthday this year, he would finally allow me the luxury of raising chickens!  He built me an incubator recently, and I'm currently waiting on a dozen of silkie eggs.  We we given 3 chicks in a brooder that we have no idea what breed they are.  :)  They are hilarious - we're having a blast pampering them, taming them and watching them grow and play.  BYC has been a huge resource to me in these early stages, and it's nice to finally introduce myself.

Our three girls:

Raquel

Peaches

Daisy

Laura ~ Momma of 3 humans, 2 cats, 3 baby chickens - 1 barred rock and 2 ??? (Maybe Golden Comets?), and soon to be a bunch of Silkies (fingers crossed!)  Follow my chicken journey and see lots of pretty photos on My Blog.

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?

Thank you!  I thought Raquel was a Barred Rock.. I started calling her "The Rock" and realized it wasn't very feminine; thus the name Raquel.  LOL  Thanks for your help!
