Dangerous tornadic storms headed my way. - Page 2

Oh, thank goodness! I've been thinking about you at work today. Didn't get time to check the forum this morning to see what happened. I cannot imagine living in an area with tornadoes, seriously. I used to love heavy weather, but after sitting out an electric storm a few years ago, getting my house struck by lighting with me in it and walking past a pole as it was struck by lightning I'm scared of it. Just a bit mind you big_smile.png

Thank you for the concern!

Living in Kansas and having a fear of storms and tornadoes does not go well together. big_smile.png

Mark 11:22-23

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.

OMG. The amout of SEVERE HAIL AND TORNADO warnings hear is getting annoying. But to be safe I Put all 187 chickens in the basement under our barn. A hour or so later, my friend came over and played HALO REACH. Then the power went out. I raced out side to see a HUGE funnel cloud a few acres away and saw it destroy the junkyard not to far away. I felt the wind and ran inside grabbed my friend and RAN toward the barn. I hopped into the basement with my chickens, ducks and geese swarm me. I called my mom on my cell, she answered with apanick telling us to get in the barn. I told her we where in there already. She told me where she was and to turn the radio on. then we were cut off. A deafining roar shook me all over. The sound stopped. and i poked my head out. no buildings destroyed. GOOD. Put chickens back and went inside the house. Power came on a few minitutes later. Alls well that ends well.

WOW! That's scary!  I would've been freaking out. It sounds like you kept your calm. I'm glad you're safe and all is well.

Was there a tornado warning?
