Question about feeding new chicks...

I have four day old araucana chicks and have been feeding them Ace Hi chick starter mash. I was wondering if it's okay to mix Purina start & grow with it. I wasn't sure if that would be too much, or if it would provide them a beet balanced diet. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.smile.png

They both appear to be Chick Starter/grower, so there would be no harm and no particular advantage either.  idunno.gif

Why do you want to mix the two?

From what I see the Ace High feed looks to be a better feed, plus it has meat and bone meal in it something Purina doesn't have.

I thought maybe it would be a more well rounded diet? I wasn't sure if the Ace Hi had everything it needed, it sounds like I'm wrong. I'm new at having chicks. Is there anything I could supplement with the Ace Hi? Or is it enough on it's own? Thanks again! smile.png

You can mix it little by little until its just purina if you want.

I feed straight Purina Start n Grow , plus I give dried mealworms once a day and happy hens sunflower mix with boss once a day. I sometimes give them chopped romaine lettuce which they love!
