I just got a pair of cockatiels today and the male stressed out super bad on the way back to my house and is still stressed here because of the move I'm scared he will die is there anything I can do to get him to not be so stressed out?? He won't eat, drink, grip the roost pole with his feet or anything he just sits on the bottom and makes funny noises and acts like he wants to throw up. I haven't never had a bird to stress this bad, the female is fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You don't have to keep them in pairs however and if you spend some time each day with the female, she will do fine without a mate. Single Cockatiels can live into their 20's alone. Just give her plenty of attention.
