"Oh, yeah, yeah I am." She said, looking down at her empty little mug; save for the final dregs of the steamed milk.

"When childhood dies, its corpses are called adults and they enter society, one of the politer names of hell. That is why we dread children, even if we love them, they show us the state of our decay." - Brian Aldiss

"Same." He pushed back his chair and rose to his feet "I guess they want these cups back eh?"

"Before Drake started "YOLO", did ya'll think you could live twice or...?"

Angelina nodded. "Yeah, you can just leave them there. It's a bit odd how this place works, but they'll come and pick them up after we leave. So, where is this place you told me about?" She asked at last, hardly able to keep in the question much longer.

He chuckledslightly, leading her outside. "You'll see." He winked.

She smiled, and followed next to him. The rain had stopped, and left behind it a gentle, almost refreshing breeze.

Eli breathed in deeply as he walked, enjoying the fresh, cool rain over the hot, humid air that he was used to. At first the streets they passed were busy with people going about their day, but as they walked the crowd began to thin out and the buildings grew less and less appealing.

She watched the buildings as she passed them, noticing all to well the fact that they were going from almost upscale to a hop-skip and a jump away from being trashy. A feeling of unease crept through her spine, and a little voice told her that maybe she should turn back. Too late now, Angelina thought with a smirk, as she regained her confidence and tucked her hair behind her ear, revealing high, but soft cheekbones.

He looked back at her, not noticing her moment of unease. "Its not far now." He assured her, turning down a darker, narrow alley and off the mainstreet.

Angelina nodded in response, smiling excitedly.

At last they turned down one last alley and Eli held back a single, rotting board in the entrance to a large, rusted warehouse. "After you."
