Can I join too? I set 16 eggs today from my barnyard mix.

Hens eggs (1-Appen Spitz)(1-Buff Brahma)(1-Buff Orpington)(1-RIR)(1-Silver laced Polish)(2-EE)(1-Araucana)(4-Golden Comets)(1-GLW)(1-Jersey Giant)(2-Tetra Tint)

Eggs are fertilized by either a

Chantecler X RIR-yellow legs, typical chantecler comb, white, w/redish patches black/green tail

or

Silkie X RIR - Black legs, typical silkie comb except it is red, extra toes, feathered feet, Red and White feathers. Silkie doo on top of head.

Very curious to see what pops out of these eggs. I have a sheet made up to put in info, and instead of Xs and Os on the eggs I have the set date on one side and a number on the other so I can keep track of which hatch and chick colors and such, it took 2 days of watching and collecting to catch each hen actually laying the egg:)

Keeper of 1 son, 1 man child, 1 step-son, 5 beagles, 1 boxer, 1 Chinese Crested, 3 DSH cats, a flock of chickens, 2 muscovy ducks, 1 Saanen doe, 1 Oberhasli doe, 1 Saanen buck, and 1 Nubian buck.

Just checking in and making sure that I'm part of the Mother's Day crew... ALTHOUGH my BBS Orpingtons are on full day 3 today and they are my true first attempt at hatching eggs.  Past project was a Knotts Berry Farm mutt egg rescue and I'm just sure they were bad...

I also just set "mystery" eggs from Whole Foods last night just for giggles and to see what happens???!!!

I'm a big fan of the "ask all the questions and see what you eggsperts have to say and follow the aforementioned flock!" trend.....

Let's go folks!!  thanks, Jane

I set 24 eggs today, I didn't geet them set at noon though, I was participating in a chicken swap so had to set late this afternoon. I will also be adding to the eggs on Monday as a shipment didn't get sent out on time. Good luck everyone.

Count us in even though we had to start on the 19th in the evening. We have a pair of Wheaten Ameraucanas and would like to hatch some of their eggs but since she hasn't been laying long her eggs come a little sporadic. Sometime 3 days apart, sometime every day! Anyway, we have 7 pretty blue eggslove.gifin our homemade incubator along with 7 eggs that we hope came from our Barred Rocks. We have 2 roo's - a Golden Wyandotte and a huge Buff so we're hoping for some Black sex links. Usually the Barred's have the deeper colored eggs from our flock of RIR, Buff, BR and GLW. We just hatched 5 chicks a week ago to try out the incubator and got 4 buffs and a sex link roo (naturally he is the tamest and the cutest personality). We want to buy & hatch some Barnvelder eggs soon but want to get this incubator thing down a little more first. We are trying kind of a dry hatch as we have read good reports here on it. Here's hoping!fl.gif
