I agree! Lovely picture, and...yes, I hatch those porous eggs..no problem!

If you make sure the eggs are fat-side up in the inside #4 box, unable to move and well-cushioned, then cushion that box firmly inside a #7 box, it works perfectly, I use packing materials from other shipments I get from work, but you can get free biodegradeable 'peanuts' and whatnot from lots of places if you ask around or post on CL or freecycle. I love the air-pak balloon-type things for cushioning the inside box.

You're lucky the PO refunded anything- they have excluded eggs from insurance and shipping guarantees. Stinks, but I understand.

Renee, your packaging is incredible!!  Everyone should get some of your eggs just to check out the packaging (and to hatch some super cool chicks).

I can quit hatching any time I want. . .  I do not have a problem. . .

I'm getting 10 buff Cornish and 5 white rocks keeping the buff hens and the rock Roos to have my own meat chicken eggs. So really these are related to meat chickens so they don't count in the chicken total.

So it's not as bad as I thought then. celebrate.gifI can live with a few. My poor husband on the other hand just don't understand. idunno.gifI will survive.

Finally took a picture of my eggs.  Hope it's ok, I am lacking one egg in this picture.  I forgot to take the picture before I started taking them out..so, I started with 14.   003.JPG

Need to take that therm/humid. reader out..it isn't working right. I don't worry about the temp in this bator, it keeps it at 99.5 on it's own.  I know the humidity is fine as long as I keep the sponge wet.  I like the lower humidity, around mid 40's, high 30's.  I just re wet the sponge when it starts getting dry.  Then in lock down, I like it around 65, so need to put one of my many other readers in for that time.  I am seeing a lot going on in the eggs..veins..the four in a bunch on the lower right are questionable last I looked, so will have to look again soon.
