Really bad craigslist ad (not chicken related)... *HEAD DESK*

Thread Starter

For those who don't have horses, you don't want an un-neutered male horse in with female horses, unless he is a foal.

AND this one is even worse is that they are siblings.....

AND the picture of one of them in a very very HARSH bit, with their statement that the horse is green broke or just starting their training to have a rider on their back, usually about 30-45 days of training...

So here's super DUM owner's ad....

Horses - $600 (Clinton,Wi)

We have 2 horses a mare that is 4 years old, green broke, loveable and gentle, she loves her hay and sweet grain, and loves to roam around a pasture, easy to saddle and ride, good with and around kids, her name is Ginger. We have a stallion that is 3 years old, green broke, loveable and gentle once he gets to know you, otherwise very stubborn and definatly has a mind of his own,he loves his hay and sweet feed also, and loves to roam around a pasture along the side of his sister,he can be at times hard to saddle and ride i guess it depends his mood for the day, because there been days we didn't have a problem and then there were days we did,his name is Damian. They go as a pair being that he has been with his sister since he was born they walk, ride, stand, everything next to each other. We are asking 600 but will take best offer for the 2 and just to let you lnow that we will not go below 400 for the pair. They don't come with any accessories being that we are going to hang on to them for our boys that want it.the reason we selling them is that because of all our long hours at work, our kids and there after school functions, and more we just don't have time for them.So please whomever wants them please be sure that you have time in your schedule for them.Thanx.Please contact us by phone being that not sure how soon we can get back on the net.xxx-xxx-xxxx joe or XXX-XXX-XXXX rachael

Wow. You know, there are people that think a snaffle bit is easy on the mouth. Even one with shanks that long! Poor mare. Yes, these people should be selling their horses since they obviously aren't too swift about them. Eeesh.

Love those Orps!

I don't care why the chicken crossed the road, as long as mine don't!

There's a whole lot of ignorance in that post (for example, they said "accessories," not "tack"), so I wouldn't take it for granted that the poster knows anything. Maybe that's actually a gelding, not a stallion, and they don't know any better (which might explain why the mare evidently hasn't been in foal yet). Sounds like whatever training these horses have had will all have to be re-done.sad.png

I would be willing to bet that the "stallion" is really a gelding.

The obscure we understand eventually.
The obvious takes a little longer.

oh those poor horses - I so feel sorry for them. I love how the 'stallion' is a bit moody! What fun taking him on - and I think that poor little one looks a bit lean...wormy actually...  I hope someone with some horse sense buys them and saves them.

I shall now go and distribute carrots to my happy healthy pony.

...do you not have a 'horse rescue' you can tell about these two? I keep thinking about them - we have one over here, they save them and then re-home them...I got  my first one from there, she was quite mad but still mine!
