Did you buy pullets or straight run, because it sounds like you're little cockerels may be showing themselves...???

Caretaker of a lovely mixed flock including: australorp, plymouth rocks, wyandotte, d'uccles, silkies, EEs, andalusian, and a few seramas, plus a golden retriever, great dane, and three cats.

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?

Sounds a little like roosters. Especially could be the case if you hatched yourself.

If they're going outside you need a coop that'll keep them safe from predators, and warm at night. Maybe if they're cold you might need to string a heat lamp out for them.
It would also be nice for them to have a run so they can scratch around in the yard. Make sure that's covered too though if you have predators.

sheena: try posting in What breed or gender is this? I'm sorry I can't help ID your chicks, but hopefully someone can. smile.png
