Ouch!!!

Found this in the nest box today. It weighs a ton. This hen has been regular all spring with no problems. Strange. I'll let you know what I find when I crack it open.

We haven't gotten a big one like that in a long time!  I have found they are laid usually by new layers.  Bet it's a double yolker! thumbsup.gif

I haven't had a big one for a couple of years. The hen that laid it has been laying beautiful normal eggs then this thing shows up. I feel bad for the hen!

We haven't had any double yolkers from the two younger hens, but the older ones used to lay them all the time. Congrats, double yolkers are a nice surprise! wink.png
