Mallard Pairs or 1 Drake for the flock?

I got 2 Mallards from TSC about a month or so ago and they are almost completely feathered in, however, I'm still not certain if I have 2 hens, 2 drakes, or a pair. They are just starting to show a bit of green tint in their heads, but the entire rest of their bodies look female in feathering. Now I know that the summer plumage is almost the same for both, but when should I be able to tell what I have?

 

The other part of the question is: If I have 2 drakes should I get rid of 1 & get a hen or should I just get 2 hens, or will my 2 drakes fight over just 2 hens? I definitely don't have room for more than 3-4 birds, so getting more than 2 more is out of the question.

you are suppose to have 3 hens per drake

its a zoo here:

12 call duck....2 geese -1 female saddleback pom. ....1american buff.

10 peafowl chicks <3

2 bantam cochins....

5 silkie hens and 4 splash juvis....

6 goats.....2 ponies....3beef cows.

an african grey parrot....2 fish tanks...

6hermit crabs... 3 betas... a turtle

and some guineas (all ages)
