Remodeling Barn for Chickens

Thread Starter

I have a 24 x 30 wood pole barn where the back part will be converted into a chicken coop with attached 12 x 20 outside runway. My chicks will be ready to leave the brooder in 3-4 weeks which gives me the time I'll need for converting.  Here I show the 'before' conversion images. Once completed l will be posting to the thread the finished project which will house 14 chickens.

The front of my barn

The coop entrance door located on rear left side of barn

The right side which will have the attached 12 x 20 outside runway

Image #2 for attached runway and to the right you will see the chicken entrance that will have a single door when completed

Already started on the inside 'coop' for the egg layers!

I'll leave this tree stump indoors. It just looks like a perfect location for a roo hangout to check out the girls!  Also behind that stump will hold a 5 tier roost.

Thanks for looking and I look forward to adding more images as I continue to build my Chicken Coop 'D Cor!
