my 5 yr old is too funny.

we're new to chickens and all the ones that we have are under 6 wks at the moment.....

 

i told my son that we were having chicken for dinner tonight. At first he looked confused, then worried. After a moment of thinking he asks "just how big did the chicks get while i was napping?!?"   lol

 

After i confirmed that we weren't having OUR chicks for dinner, he still had to run and do a head count on them.

1 easter egger (skittles), 1 buff orphington (superman), 1 speckled sussex (boots), 1 california white (spiderman), 1 delaware (dora), 1 black sex link (batman), 1 rhode island red (flower)

The other day my mom asked if I got her e-mail, I said "no, not yet" she looked disappointed, and said "Oh! I get it, you're too busy on 'backward chickens!" Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!

CUTEEEE!

I've got 2 cats, Dyllen and Star. I have 17 chickens; 3 BLRW, 3 mutts, 2 EEs, 2 White Rock roosters, 1 RIR, 1 White Leghorn, 1 Red Star, 1 Golden Campine, 1 unknown hen, 1 Partridge cochin, and 1  Golden Polish. I also have 1 Swedish/Black Indian Runner laying on 8 eggs.
