On Sat night I got 9 hens, 2 roosters. one hen is a splash, another hen is a cuckoo, the two roosters are black, the rest of the hens are either blue or black. I have them in with my peahen and two ducklings and they are all getting along, but when should I be expecting eggs? the lady I got them from said I should get some in about 3-4 days? i posted a pic of my chicks to just to show them off. But these are pictures of my new chickens. First time with chickens.march april 2012 062.JPGmarch april 2012 063.JPG

Very pretty silkies!!!!  I'm getting some silkie chicks soon and can't wait!

How old are they?

Mommy to BR (Onyx), 2 Delaware (Pearl & Opal), BO (Ruby), Blue Silkie (Amber), Splash Silkie (Raine), 2 Golden Laced Orps (Goldie & Lacey), 2 EE (Bunny & Rabbit) & 2 Blk Javas (Crow & Butterfly)!

Also a Pit/Mastiff mix, an American Bulldog, 1 cat, a guinea pig, a bearded dragon, and a koi pond.

Oh.. can't forget my daughter, granddaughter, step-son, and wonderful husband!

They are very pretty!  Everyone getting along ok?

I take care of, one husband, three daughters, one dog, two cats, many fish.......  and of course, chickens!

~1 Easter Egger, 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 1 Light Brahma, and 4 Bantam Cochins, 3 Silkies and various chicks.

When we move out of town, I will have 10x that many.. chickens, not kids, cats or husbands.   ;)     My Swap Page

Sometimes it can take a few weeks to get settled in before they will feel comfortable enough to lay. Good luck! They're beautiful.
