What breed should I get? - Page 2

Might I suggest a Black Australorp. My Miss Charlotte is very curious (always the first to investigate something new) which makes her extremely entertaining! She also loves being held.

I'm a newbie, and have ordered black astralorps, speckled sussex, buff orpingtons and silver wyandottes.

I'm also in CT, and looked for cold/heat hard chickens that tended to be good layers as well as nice temperaments..Hopefully I will get just that with my selection and cant wait to get them !!!

As it turns out, I am getting some Americana's that will be hatching at the end of May! Later in August, the guy is going to give me a free batch of Buff Orpington chicks, so I'll be lookin forward to that. [:
