Yes, there will be 1/2"x 1/2" hardware cloth under the apex portion.  I chose this design for ventilation & looks.  I just like the looks of these old barns like this.

Ok....now that I am over 2-3 weeks over my 'planned' completion date, here is where we are.  Still have to finish nest boxes, complete human door & then trim out exterior.

Well, it started as a remodel job(from the kids old playhouse) & snowballed pretty much into a total new construction!  We reclaimed as much wood as we could & used a lot of other materials we had on hand, then purchased the remainder.  I have to admit it would have never turned out this way if I hadn't found BYC though!  However, it probably would have been finished well over a month or two ago had I not kept changing midstream due to little things I would find here on BYC too!
