Would you mind sharing your recipe with me?  Right now i have 10 adult chickens (8 are laying hens), but i have 17 layer chicks arriving next week, and 5 more arriving in late july.  I'm looking at recipes to make my own duck feed as well.  They share a lot of the same ingredients so if i'm doing some i might as well do them all.

Our menagerie: 1 horse, 2 dogs, 6 cats, 2 rabbits, 1 guinea pig, 3 hamsters, 1 Silkie roo bachelor, 1 Ameraucana/Easter Egger roo, 1 Ameraucana/Easter Egger hen, 7 Golden Comet hens. RIP Puff and Mocha.

Chicks coming in April: Ameraucana, Barred Rock, Buff Orpington, Rhode Island Red.  Ducklings coming in April: Blue Swedish, Cayuga, Mallard.  More chicks come in July, all Buff Brahma.

Cyndi,

Unfortunately, we are in the city.  I use The Family Mill connected to my KitchenAid to grind my wheat and make my chicken feed.  You can also buy the base to grind by hand.  After a lot of research I decided on this mill and I love it.
