Hi there!

Has there been any change to the ordinance in Pittsburg, California to allow raising backyard chickens? My partner and I just moved from Berkeley and now that we have the space, we love the idea of having a few hens in the backyard.

I called Joe Sbranti today 4/1/2014. Talked to him about the study, that could take 6 months. He remembered talking to some one but did not have any info. All though he said he would get back to me. Any one else in pittsburg that doesn't want to be criminal. Send me a pm or post here, please lets help each other and any one nearby that needs my help let me know so long as its in driving distance.

Hello,

I just moved to Pittsburg. I am really frustrated about these laws. Has anything changed? Has the city continued to do nothing? Backyardchickens.com said yes to "Can you have chickens" so I spent a lot of time and money building a coop. My fault for not checking the city website.

Let me know how we can change this.
