I crumble it up. :) It is hilarious how they try to steal it from each other. When I get home tonight I'm going to record them. Too funny!

I just tried it and your right it is so funny!!!!  They loved it and would steal it from one another too!  Any other yummies to try, I am new to having my own chickens.  Helped my granny as a child but that was 25 years ago lol.

Lol, I tried yogurt too and they did the same thing- immediately rubbed their beaks on something to get it off!

Last year mine started with zucchini, yellow squash, and cucumbers quartered lengthwise.  Once those were mastered they loved halved cherry tomatoes.  Bananas and Watermelon were a big hit too.

Our menagerie: 1 horse, 2 dogs, 6 cats, 2 rabbits, 1 guinea pig, 3 hamsters, 1 Silkie roo bachelor, 1 Ameraucana/Easter Egger roo, 1 Ameraucana/Easter Egger hen, 7 Golden Comet hens. RIP Puff and Mocha.

Chicks coming in April: Ameraucana, Barred Rock, Buff Orpington, Rhode Island Red.  Ducklings coming in April: Blue Swedish, Cayuga, Mallard.  More chicks come in July, all Buff Brahma.
