Great news. My dad had a second biopsy. The result is......it came back negative for cancer. The M.D. is guarded on ruling out cancer. We are doing  a repeat PET scan in October to see if there is any growth in the 2 lesions in the lung or the lesion on the liver.

He had the 2nd pet scan and went from 2 small tumors in the right lung to he now has 7 spread between both lungs, one of which went from 10mm to 1.4cm. They are thinking that it is lung cancer and the tumor in the liver is benign, which delayed the Dx of lung cancer. They are giving him up to 9 months w/o treatment and if he does chemo it could give him an additional 3-9 months. We have already put all of his affairs in order with a living trust and establishing me as Executor and POA. Hard to believe these could be the last holidays that I will have with my dad. I sometimes wish The Big Guy was here so I could lean on him.

Well they still have not started chemo on my dad. I feel they are dragging their feet so they won't have to. We are now waiting for authorization for a lung biopsy, then after that an appointment with a specialist, then a second appointment with a specialist and then they will discuss whether chemo is an option. This has been going on since March, like I said, they are dragging their fee.t
