Good luck.

My flock is great, but my garden has been nothing but trial & tribulation this week.  Trying to add some new raised beds... AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

It has been awful.  I am hopeful I can finally get them in (again) today, before the rain comes & washes away the yard of dirt I filled the last set of beds I bought from Lowes.

I'll never go to Lowes again.

I have had very little time to knit or craft the last few weeks.  I have all day tomorrow scheduled to do some quilting & some knitting - after band practice.

I have 2 wonderful sons, 3 ducks (2 Anconas & 1 Buff), 4 laying hens, a Holland Lop bunny, and a big scaredy cat.  I am a Chef, Baker, Bluegrass "Musician" (I know, you can't do both) and artisan.

I haven't touch my quilting in 2 years . I have a beautiful Irish chain (queen) size just waiting for the panels to be sewn together and the borders to be put on (3hours work tops). I also have a baby quilt I did That I just need to have long armed. I think it's my best work yet so I want to find some one that is going to do an extra special job.I'm not in a rush . My son isn't married . His girlfriend of 4 years is in Med school so I don't think I'll be a grandma anytime soon.

I hope this question doesn't offend anyone here but I am in need of yarn scraps, trimmings & little bits so I can make a few nesting kits for the wild bird population on our farm. I only have a small amount since I just finished adding all my extras to my Scrapghan last month.

If it's not too much I am happy to send back postage if you can mail some. I would really appreciate it =) any kind/type of yarn is welcome! Please PM me if you can help.

I used to know how to knit when I had a job in home health one of my clients taught me, but after she passed away, I quit, now I have gotten into the kniffty knitter and got 1 of my granddaughters hooked on them also.

Bleenie,  I can help you out.  I have tons of yarn and some I'll never use.  PM me and give me your address so I can mail you some.  Where in WA are you?  My daughter lives in Tenino, not far from Olympia.

My address is:

I can probably send some as well.  How long/short do the lengths of yarn need to be?

I finally did some knitting today.

It took so much to do the garden expansion project, and the kids had vacation.  Whew, I am whooped.  This rainy day was a nice excuse to stay home & be still.

Thank you all SO much!  Betty, I am about an hour from Tenino, actually used to live there =)

m.kitchen girl, any length is good, if it's long I can cut it down but i'd have to say no longer than 6 inches? The biggest birds I have seen so far are the (NOISY) stellar jays that have been assaulting the suet feeder, lol.    There were six on it the other day, all screaming at eachother roll.png

I think I should have enough now with your help. I found a local bunny rescue that saved up their fibers from Sunday's grooming & another BYC'er that's going to send me some 'unspinnable' lamb fiber. I know how much the birds loved stealing hairs from the horse so hopefully the will like the other animal fibers as well!

No problem.

I'll go through my stash one rainy night this week.

I hope.

I came home to a nightmare today, and have no idea what "fixing" it is going to require.

If they aren't in the mail by Friday, I'll let you know.
