Is the chick a boy or a girl?

Thread Starter

Hello,

We brought a batch of 12 eggs of Ebay a while a go now, and only 3 hatched out of the eggs. They are 7 weeks now and we have a beautiful Golden Laced Wyandotte, I think a mixed sebright and a mixed dutch (Does anyone know how different mixed bantams are from the pedigree breed?)

Now they are 7 weeks I am really keen and want to know if they are a cockrel or hen!! The dutch comb is big but not really big and the sebright comb is fairly big and the Wyandotte has a flat comb,

Does anyone know anyway I can tell without sexing them ????

Is that leg thing ment to be true or is it a old wives tale?!

Posting a pic would be the best way.  I certainly wouldn't want to take a guess on gender without seeing them first....
