Just wondering if anyone has taken advantage of the free chick that Myer offers in exchange for a promise to use the bird to donate to the food pantry (eggs or meat). I have ordered 1 (limit) with each of my orders and was not sure what to expect, pullet or roo. Really does not matter, just curious what others have gotten, breed and sex. Also, glad to participate in the program. I sure don't mind donating, could you imagine what would happen if every chicken keeper was able to keep 1 bird for this purpose?
