Mystery babies....what are they? ~~~UPDATE~~~ *New Pics*

I was at our local flea market last Saturday and bought 3 chicks. Unfortunately one of them died later that night. sad.png

 

Anyway the guy had a sign that said he had RIR's, White Leghorns, and Araucanas, all straight run, so I have no idea what the sex is either, if anyone knows that it would help.

 

I just felt so bad for them because of the condition of the cages they were in. I already had 43 chickens, so I couldn't save them all.... So I took the last three that he SAID were Araucanas. Here are some pics, can you please tell me if anyone knows if they are in fact Araucanas, and if not, what these babies are?

I just got some Barred Rocks, thats what they look like! Well at least the one with white in the tops of the wings anyway. I am very new, but it does look like my Barreds.

I agree there is barred rock in there. Sorry.

I'm not so sure that's a barred rock - that was my first thought too but my BR chicks didn't have all that white on the chest and belly.

barred rock/barred rock mix ...those are great layers(if they are pullets) just like the Rhode Island Reds :)

I get what your saying, when I got my chicks a week ago they had no white at all. But now a week later, 2 of them havr a lot of white on the chest an on the under belly. I am very new, but they do look like my barreds at 2 weeks old.

So neither one is an Araucana? I've never had them before, so I have no idea what they should look like at this age.

Like I said, I am new, I think the one with white is a barred but I dont know about the other hun.
