lump on head of silkie chick

im new to this theses are the first silkie chicks ive incubated they all seem healthy even this one but it has a lump on its head it feels soft to the touch does anyone have any ideas to what this is and should i worrychick 005.JPG

Is it it's crest? Silkies often have a full crest. Or is it it's actually head?!

its not feather so i dont believe its a crest none of the other chicks have it

As long as it eats, drinks and poo's then it should be fine

Its called a vaulted skull. Some silkies have it others dont. It will be fine

Yep, it's a vaulted skull. It should have a very nice crest when it grows up! smile.png

I am new to the breed also, but you have a chick with a high vault. About 40% of my chicks have that. Makes for a very pretty bird when its all grown up.
