We here at Thirty-Ten Farm in rural Indiana have been raising our Australorp and Barred Rock chickens for a few years now and hope to expand to ducks and geese soon. We also hope to have new chicks soon...we have too many eggs as is, but are just at that point where we are leery of keeping up our supply if we accept another regular egg customer and the hens have an "off" week. So of course we are using that as our excuse to ourselves to expand the flock!

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan big_smile.png

Love a good chicken rationalization lol.png

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?

LOL, the name happens to be both our street address and how many acres we own (30-10). But I can pretend we're super creative and take credit for it. wink.png
